GENEVA COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A Hartford woman is dead after a three-vehicle wreck in Geneva County Sunday evening.
Around 6:06 p.m., an F-150 driven by James Edward Brown crossed the centerline on Highway 167 and hit a Honda Accord. The Accord’s driver, 48-year-old Marie Victoria Prescott, then lost control and crossed into an oncoming Freightliner’s path.
Prescott died after the Freightliner hit her car. The wreck happened around 4 miles south of Hartford.
Alabama state troopers are investigating the crash. The Highway Patrol said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
