Geneva, Ala. (WDHN)—Zeta is expected to have a minimal effect across Southeast, Alabama; Northwest, Florida, and Southwest, Georgia.
But with any threat of inclement weather, Geneva County residents become anxious.
At the junction of the Choctawhatchee and Pea rivers, the city has a vivid history of high water and flooding.
But, Geneva County EMA Director Eric Johnson believes the wiregrass will escape floods or serious
structural damage from gale-force winds.
But, Johnson reminds folks hurricanes and tropical storms are always unpredictable.
Area residents should stay updated on any changes in Zeta’s projected landfall.
