Florida fireworks rules & regulations

Local News

Bonifay, Fla. (WDHN)—With July 4th less than a week away, it’s important for Alabamians to remember that what is legal in their state is not the case across the state line.

By rule, if it flys or explodes, it’s against the law in Florida.

Here along Highway 79 in Downtown Bonifay, one firework vendor says he makes sure that his products comply with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services.

Here, sparklers and novelty items are legal.

And for those wishing to purchase aerial fireworks to scare birds from crops, there’s an agricultural form that individuals can fill out and sign, which is available at many Florida firework stands.
