Florala High School administration and teachers prepare for the 2020-2021 school year

Florala, Ala. (WDHN)—With a student body of around 250 students, Whittaker says he and his staff have learned
To be “flexible”. On Wednesday, Governor Ivey “ordered” mandatory student face masks.

Whittaker says “I’ve been trying to keep our parents informed with the most up to date information as soon as I receive through
our social media. We have 10 cleaning stations with sanitizer around the school’s campus as well.”

In order to reduce large gatherings’, there will be “mobile feeding”. Instead of eating in
the cafeteria, students will be fed either in the classroom, or they’ll eat as a group
outside.

As of now, classes will begin for students in Florala and throughout Covington County on Monday, August 17th.
