DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — An Ashford woman beloved by her community has left them in mourning following her sudden death this past weekend.

At 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Ashley Brook Crane, 40, died while driving her 2011 Honda CRV. ALEA said the SUV left the road, hit a drainage culvert, and flipped over.

She died at the scene.

Family and friends remember Ashley Crane as a loving person, who would do anything for her family.

“She was the glue that kept us all together and I’m going to miss her terribly,” Dr. Michelle Dandridge said.

For years, Dandridge and Brook worked side by side.

“She was the very first employee of Dandridge Dental,” Dandridge said. “She took good care of me personally and our patients and really cared about the work she did.”

One of Brooke’s friends remembers her as a mother who was a mother to all.

“She was an amazing person,” Sadie Alexander said. “She was a great friend, a great daughter. She was well known throughout the community.
