Enterprise, Ala. (WDHN)—Enterprise Police need your help as they investigate a drive-by shooting case.
At around eleven o’clock Tuesday night, gunfire “erupted” in an Enterprise mobile home park on Rucker Boulevard. It happened within a few miles of
the Enterprise Ft. Rucker gate. Officers say it appears one or more persons were in a white Chevy Suburban when they fired multiple shots
at a trailer.
An occupant inside the residence received minor injuries, but police have little else to work on.
“The rounds entered the residence and the occupants received minor injuries. We continue to investigate and try and determine who the
Suspects are,” according to Enterprise Police P.I.O. Lt. Billy Haglund.
For one resident “fighting” battling cancer, the stress of hearing
gunfire is very difficult to live with. Elizabeth Williams says “late in the afternoon and that night. I hear gunshots. I don’t know if they are just shooting in the air, or shooting at somebody. I don’t really know.”
Over recent months, Lt. Haglund says Enterprise and other wiregrass cities have seen an “increase” in drive-bys’.
He doesn’t have an explanation of why, and the incidents don’t appear related.
