ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The National Day of Prayer was honored across the country Thursday.
The Enterprise Ministerial Association hosted its annual gathering at noon in the front courtyard of the Enterprise City Hall. The message for this year’s event was to love one another. Local pastors led the community in prayers for the church, community, nation, military, and first responders.
“Prayer for the family strengthens it and I believe prayer in our city makes it a better place to live,” Mayor Bill Cooper said.
The annual National Day of Prayer is held on the first Thursday in May. It was established during the Eisenhower Administration.
