Enterprise men charged in armed robbery near downtown

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Two men face first-degree robbery charges after allegedly holding someone at gunpoint Friday, according to the Enterprise Police Department.

Officers responded to the scene on the 700 k ofNorth Rawls Street after the suspects held a person at gunpoint, took their money, and ran away.

According to an EPD release, the suspects, Johnny Ray Williams and WC Jackson Jr. were only minutes away on the 100 block of West College Street, close to the Boll Weevil Monument.

Detective arrested Williams, 63, and Jackson, 24, on first-degree robbery charge each, taking them to the Coffee County Jail afterward.
