Enterprise couple reopens the Barrel Room Restaurant and Bar

Local News

Enterprise, Ala. (WDHN)—Last spring, the COVID-19 state shutdown led to the permanent closure of numerous establishments
in the wiregrass.

After five years in business, the Barrel Room Restaurant in Enterprise didn’t survive.

Three years ago, Ronnie and Stephanie Baggio along with their five children moved from Atlanta to
Enterprise.

Earlier this month, the family “re-opened” the Barrel Room Bar Restaurant on Highway 27 North.
Due to the pandemic “shut down” last Spring, the establishment under previous
ownership wound-up “permanently closing”.

Ronnie said on a “leap of faith” they “reopened” the business.
“We wanted to already invest in a business and in the community. So we wanted to invest in this place and take the risk
and we love it and having a blast and seeing the love from the community as well” according to Ronnie Baggio.

The Barrel Room is known for its sloths, but the story behind these cute, fluffy animals can
only be revealed once inside. The support from local business owners has been incredible.
“We never owned a business before and this is a leap of faith, new roads traveled, and all that. Learning something new and having a blast doing it.”
Ronnie says the community has embraced them since re-opening the establishment
this month.
