ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Enterprise City Schools announced Wednesday evening that will remain open as storms pass through the area Thursday.
“After consulting with Emergency Management officials regarding the slight risk of severe weather tomorrow, it has been decided that Enterprise City Schools will be open during regular hours on Thursday, February 6, 2020,” the system posted on its Facebook. “Importantly, school buses are scheduled to safely run their normal routes tomorrow morning and afternoon.”
However, to minimize risks to the students, gifted students and Enterprise Career & Technology Center students will remain at their home schools since those facilities have storm shelters in place.
As for the students who attend the Coppinville School of Opportunity, they will be taken to Enterprise High School shortly after school begins.
