Enterprise, Ala. (WDHN)—As part of the festivities, the Enterprise Public Library stayed open “late” in order for non-profits
and other organizations to present their “after school” programs to young people.
Enterprise Public Library Director Sheila Harris says it’s a “golden opportunity”. During Friday night’s “back to school tax-free weekend”,
she invited a dozen youth organizations to place “socially distanced tables” on both floors of the library.
Groups like the boys and girl’s club, parks and rec., Enterprise School of Dance presented their “after school” programs.
City Main Street Director Cassidi Kendrick says combining the library after school expo along with the
tax-free school shopping extravaganza made only sense.
In addition to downtown, businesses at the various strip-malls and other venues in Enterprise are taking
part in the “tax-free” school weekend through midnight Sunday.
