ELBA, Ala. (WDHN) — What started as an innocent post-church shopping trip turned into Elba’s Dollar General falling victim to another car crash.
This past Sunday, an Elba resident was attempting to park when her foot slipped off the gas pedal and hit the gas — sending the car crashing into the front of the building.
An ice machine, two windows, a nearby cart rack, the car itself and a nearby parked car all suffered damage. The driver told WDHN she’s already got a plan to ensure this doesn’t happen again.
“The people from Dollar General came out,” driver Coralee Albright said. “They thought someone was shooting at them. I am never going to park there again. I’m going on the other side so if my foot slips, I’ll just go into the field.”
No one was hurt in this crash. However, this isn’t the first time the Dollar General has been hit.
In fact, some say it’s been hit at least three times before in the same spot.
