DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Six more ducks were taken to Big Bend Sanctuary Thursday morning — bringing the total up to 19 ducks rescued.

The Dothan Police Department has told WDHN that one of the dead ducks from Emerald Lake has been taken to the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine for a necropsy to determine the cause of death.

It is unclear when results can be expected.

In the meantime, more water samples will be taken from Emerald Lake.
