Drive-by shooter wanted by Enterprise police

Local News

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — The Enterprise Police Department is looking for a suspect in a drive-by shooting Wednesday afternoon.

According to an EPD release, the department responded to shots fired call around Pineview and Holly Hill Road. Witnesses told officers that the shots came from a moving vehicle that targeted another driver on the road.

No injuries were reported, but the investigation took a turn as two people tried to say they were robbed at gunpoint by a black man driving the vehicle in question. This turned out to be a lie, prompting detectives to arrest Tayler Page Davis, age 18, of Chancellor and Kenyetta Nicole Thompson, 24, of Enterprise on charges of conspiracy to commit a controlled substance crime (distribution) and false reporting to law enforcement.

Both Thompson and Davis were taken to the Coffee County Jail, but the actual shooter is still at large. If you know anything about this crime, call 334-347-2222 or leave a tip at www.enterprisepd.com.
