ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — But in the early-2000’s, Danner was a star student and athlete at Geneva City High School.
He works to motivate approximately 550 seventh and eighth graders at Dauphin Junior High School in Enterprise to continually strive to greater heights.
The Auburn University at Montgomery graduate played baseball there, his first public school stint was at Dale County High School. He then went to become a baseball coach and math instructor at G.W. Long in Skipperville.
As principal, Danner says he stresses the positive when he’s around the students.
“I titled it the Dauphin Way, that was a nod to Miss. Thomas, the principal I replaced,” Danner said, “She was constantly talking with students and would say that’s the way we do it at Dauphin, or that’s not the way we do it at Dauphin. I always strived at being the best I can be where my feet are at. That’s as long as I can be effective.”
The new principal credits former Geneva High School Football Coach Leavy Boutwell as getting him on the right foot in education after his high school graduation.
