DPD on the hunt for suspect in public housing shooting

DOTHAN, ALA. (WDHN) — Dothan police were on a manhunt after shots were fired at a public housing complex.

Around 11 a.m., an officer heard gunshots echoing through Martin Homes off Booker Street.

Officers located the suspects and gave chase. One suspect was apprehended, but the other managed to escape in a vehicle with what officers suspected to be a rifle.

No injuries were reported, but several nearby vehicles were struck by flying bullets.

Reports say officers do know the other suspect’s name.
