DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Salvation Army is looking for volunteers as hurricane season picks up.
As we move further into hurricane season, the Salvation Army hopes citizens will help, even amid a pandemic.
The organization has been working with several organizations in case of a natural disaster.
They’ve also been working to keep volunteers and victims safe from covid-19.
“We are hopeful that people will, if a disaster comes our way, which hopefully it won’t, that volunteers will come into place knowing that we’ve done all of our due diligence to make sure that they will remain safe,” Captain Denne Jones said. “So we’re hopeful and we think that it will be okay.”
You can register to become a disaster volunteer by calling the local branch or registering on their website.
