Dothan radio host receives CMA nomination

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan radio show host Big Rick Daniels received a nomination for a Country Music Association award.

The 95.5 program director and afternoon show host came to Dothan in June to continue his radio career.

His nomination is for his morning show in Bowling Green.

He spoke with WDHN about what it’s like to be nominated.

“Well, I think anybody who’s been nominated for any kind of award, whether that be a community award, an award like this, will always tell you, and I really believe this, it’s not really about the trophy or the recognition,” Daniels said. “It’s about the journey and all the people along the way that helped you get to where you’re at. So anybody who’s helped me thank you.”

The CMA Awards will be aired on WDHN on Nov. 11.
