Dothan police still looking for information in Rodney Caliste case

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan police are still searching for the suspects who were involved in Rodney Caliste’s death.

Last week, they received some leads that lead them north of Dothan.

“We got some information that got us to lake Eufaula last week,” Lt. Doug Magill said. “We went ahead and had some divers in the lake, and we recovered some evidence that will be beneficial for this murder investigation.”

Caliste was found outside of his home on Oct. 24, dead from a gunshot wound to the head. During the initial investigation, a gun was recovered.

Dothan police say they are working to solve this case.

“We are consistently working,” He said. “I got three investigators working on it none stop, and the information keeps coming in so it’s one of those things (where) it’s just a brick at a time before you can build a house.”

Since the initial investigation, Dothan police have returned the home on Woodham searching for new evidence.

Lt.Magill tells WDHN that the police department encourages anyone who may have information on this case to contact the Dothan Police Department at 334-615-3000.
