Dothan neighborhood brings houses to life in decade-old light show

Local News

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Two Dothan neighbors are working to ensure Wiregrass drivers have a way to get into the Christmas spirit.

For the past 10 years, Westbrook subdivision has allowed drivers to experience an exciting, warm, and free way to experience a festive light show — right from their cars.

Classic Christmas tunes like Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” popular winter-themed movie songs such as Frozen’s “Let It Go”, and other popular holiday-inspired songs pour through drivers’ radios.

For drivers interested in seeing the lights in person, here’s what you do once you arrive:

  1. Turn off your lights (so as not to distract from the light show)
  2. Tune into 98.1
  3. Experience the houses come to life as synchronized lights flash in beat with the radio’s music

Admission is free and the event will last until New Year’s Eve.
