DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man will spend 70 months in prison after a Thursday sentencing hearing, according to United States Attorney Louis V. Franklin, Sr.
Dothan police arrested Dotavious Antwann Robinson, 28, of Dothan after responding to a disturbance call on April 18, 2017. Officers found Robinson in the backseat of a vehicle before he ran away.
However, evidence states that he left behind a handgun and a suitcase with meth and other drugs. Three weeks later, Robinson was arrested with more drugs in his possession.
In May 2020, he pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine, leading to his 70-month sentence. After serving his prison term, he will spend five years under supervised release.
