Dothan man faces charges for gas station shooting

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan police arrested a man on attempted assault charges for a shooting on Oct. 28.

According to Dothan Police Lt. Scott Owens, Cadarius Lashawn Tyson, 22, allegedly fired 10 rounds from a semi-automatic pistol at two people in front of a gas station on East Selma Street. The rounds missed the victims but hit the gas station instead.

The Dothan Police Department was able to identify Tyson as the suspect through surveillance video.

He was taken into custody on Nov. 15 and faces two first-degree attempted assault charges, one charge for shooting into an occupied building, and for being an ex-felon in possession of a firearm.
