DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Police Department arrested a man Tuesday afternoon on charges for second-degree rape and enticing a child.
Sgt. Tim Mullis said the department was notified of the situation by the Southeast Alabama Child Advocacy Center after a family member took the victim there.
According to Mullis, the department discovered that multiple instances of sexual contact occurred between Jacob Brian Hartley, 24, of Dothan and the minor, with the activity happening at his home.
Officers took Hartley into custody Tuesday afternoon, charging him with one count of enticing a child and three counts of second-degree rape. He has been released from the Houston County Jail with a bond of $55,000.
