Dothan man charged with attempted murder

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man faces an attempted murder charge in a shooting on Sept. 6.

On Sept. 6, investigators with the Dothan Police Department investigated a shooting where multiple people left a vehicle and fired gunshots at a person on the intersection of Lena Street and Crawford Street. According to police, the shooters missed their target, leaving the victim without injury.

A DPD release states that investigators found the car’s driver with help from the public. Following a “lengthy interview,” Phillip Barkley Jr., 23, was charged in the shooting and has been held without bond.
