DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Dothan police arrested a man Sunday afternoon following three hours of negotiations after he barricaded himself with his twin daughters.

Officers were called in for a disturbance on Verde Trail, but when they arrived, Sergio Romero-Ontiveros, 37, barricaded himself inside a room of his house with his two 18-month-old girls.

Following negotiations, police took Romero-Ontiveros into custody. He is now in the Houston County Jail without bond on first-degree sexual abuse charge, which involved a minor.

The twins were not harmed in the process nor were they the victims in the aforementioned charge.
