DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Dothan Fire Department is holding a fundraiser for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
The department is selling the t-shirts to raise money for childhood cancer research.
The shirts also are special to the department, as the shirts are dedicated to past and present firefighters’ family members who passed away from childhood cancer.
“Normally, we are able to have a 5-K run,” Sergeant Paramedic Jesse Taylor said. “We do a lot of things to try and help raise money. This year, with the COVID-19 being in place, we were unable to do extra fundraisers that we normally do. So we’re only able to do the t-shirt fundraiser this year for the public.”
The link to buy a t-shirt can be found on the Dothan Fire Department’s Facebook and Twitter pages.
