DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The Wiregrass Museum of Art is partnering with Dothan City Schools to provide online professional development for the district’s art teachers and to hold virtual museum tours program for teachers, students, and families.

DCS has committed $30,000 to the development of both programs.

“The virtual climate allows for numerous opportunities for exposure to classical art material partners with entities like the Wiregrass Museum of Art does nothing but strengthen the cultural, emotional, and educational experiences of our students, while also showing the strength of school and community partnerships,” Public Information Officer Meagan Dorsey said.

The programs launched Wednesday, and the virtual tours program will be available to anyone outside the school system for a fee.
