DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — As many people know, the city of Dothan is the peanut capital of the world.
Dothan city schools have joined the many businesses with peanuts around town to represent them.
Thursday morning, DCS posted a picture of its peanut graduate and preschooler.
With the pandemic, public relations officer Meagan Dorsey said this is the best way to represent Dothan City Schools.
“We have a little bit of light at the end of the tunnel just to show that joy, that positivity we wanna see in our classroom so we’re very excited to have our two new peanuts,” Dorsey said.
When school is back in session, students will get to name the two peanuts.
