DONALSONVILLE, Ga. (WDHN) — Despite the devastation Hurricane Michael left behind, the people in Donalsonville are still very merry and bright.

“Donalsonville and Seminole County are loaded with good people,” said Larry Bush, owner of Ed’s Place. “They would give you the shirt of their backs if they could. They are not going down without a fight.”

Although the storm hit Oct.10, many were without power for nearly two weeks, Ed’s place stayed open during and after the storm. Hurricane Michael destroyed one of the popular restaurants in the city, but that did not affect the city.

“We decided to move our pool table and create a restaurant here. said Noma Bush, co-owner of Ed’s Place. “So they can in and we are just trying to pass the word, and the spirit to have people to come in and enjoy a good meal during the holiday.”
