Daleville closes several buildings during the coronavirus pandemic

Daleville Mayor Jayme Stayton and city police chief Allen Medley discussed “closings” taking place across their municipality. With Daleville City School closings, the Recreation Center the public library and the city’s Convention Center are closing.

The Convention Center is a designated staging point in the event coronavirus supplies are designated for the tri-states’. Authorities urge all residents to “remain calm”, and don’t horde food and other supplies. Over the weekend, a man purchased an 88-cent packet of toilet paper and sold it for five dollars in the store’s parking lot. Chief Medley says price gouging will not be permitted.
