LIST: School systems that have issued delays due to weather concerns

UPDATE:

The following school systems have also issued delays:

  • Houston County Schools — Delaying opening by one hour
  • Elba City Schools — Thursday’s start time is delayed until 9:30 a.m. Buses will run regular routes and should be an hour and a half behind their normal schedules. Other activities for the day will continue as normal.
  • Coffee County Schools — Beginning school until 9:30 a.m. Bus routes will run an hour and a half from regular times. Breakfast and lunch will be served. Wednesday extracurricular activities will be done by 5:30 p.m.
  • Wallace Community College — Will close Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. Evening classes are canceled. Classes will resume at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

DALEVILLE, Ala. (WDHN) — Daleville City Schools has delayed its starting for Thursday due to the chance for high winds and severe weather due to Hurricane Zeta.

According to superintendent Lisa Stamps, students will come in at 9:30 a.m. while teachers will report to work at 9:00 a.m.

If any other schools report delays or closures, we will let you know.
