NEWTON, Ala. (WDHN) — Recently, Dale EMS & Rescue out of the Newton Police Department was awarded a $34,000 grant from All-In Credit Union Helping Hands.

The funds will be used to buy a cardiac monitor, training mannequin, and other equipment.

As part of the grant, Dale EMS Director Kevin Turley said the equipment received can be used by other agencies for training purposes.

“We provide ALS, non-transport, mutual aid for South Dale EMS, which they provide services to Newton, Pinckard, Napier Field, and Midland City, and we train together a lot with different courses and stuff and help each other out,” Turley said.

Dale County EMS was one of a handful of non-profit agencies that received all-in credit union money to help them in their life-saving endeavors.
