COVID-19 death tolls on the rise in Dothan hospitals

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)— Both Flowers Hospital and Southeast Health are reporting more deaths from COVID-19.

Southeast Health is reporting 49 deaths from the virus while 59 people are hospitalized with the disease.

In total, the hospital has confirmed 486 cases since March, with 316 people being discharged.

As for Flowers Hospital, Chris Judah, director of the Dothan Houston County Emergency Management Agency, told 35 deaths were reported there as of Monday. The hospital had 48 patients at that time.

The hospital itself has confirmed 632 cases since the beginning of the pandemic. Meanwhile, the offices in the Flowers Medical Group have confirmed 354 cases.

Seventy-eight people also tested positive in the pre-procedural process.
