Community outraged over Enterprise teen's suicide

ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) - Ember Weissenberger, an Enterprise High School student who recently took her own life, because of alleged bullying.

The community is heartbroken over Ember's loss, taking to Facebook in hopes of bringing awareness to this bullying epidemic.

Her story has been shared by fellow classmates and many others on social media hundreds of times.

"This isn't right," Andrew Weissenberger said. "We shouldn't be burying our children. 16 years old, she had her whole life ahead of her."

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral home.
