HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — A Coffee County teenager is dead after a four-vehicle wreck in Houston County.

A release from the Alabama Highway Patrol states that the teen, a 15-year-old girl from New Brockton, was a passenger in a Nissan Altima.

A Ford F-150 driven by Anthony Miquel Bishop, 55, of Enterprise hit the Altima from behind at the intersection of Highways 84 and 123 eight miles west of Dothan. Two other cars were also damaged in the process.

Three people inside the Nissan were taken to Flowers Hospital, with only one now being in critical condition. Bishop was also taken to the hospital before being released and arrested a DUI charge with other charges pending

In an initial highway patrol report, a 17-year-old from Elba in the Altima was said to have died as well, but a second report did not mention him. We are waiting for clarification on this teenager’s status from the highway patrol.

The case is still under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
