New Brockton, Ala(WDHN)—Coffee County EMA Director James Brown says he is concerned with the near “doubling” of active COVID-19 cases.
In Monday’s Coffee County Commission meeting, Brown said the number of active cases
has grown from around 40-to- 90 in the last two-to-three weeks.
Since the pandemic began, the county has recorded more than 430 cases.
With the COVID-19 cases rising in coffee and surrounding wiregrass counties, Brown says he’ll be very concerned if the county reaches 300 active cases.
Brown says the three school districts in Coffee County have done
a phenomenal job planning for the start of school under the “Covid-19 cloud”.
