Church property vandalized in Geneva County

Local News

COFFEE SPRINGS, Ala. (WDHN) — The pastor and congregation of a small and rural church in northern Geneva County are asking the vandalizers to have a change of heart.

Center Ridge United Methodist Church Pastor Tommy Cumbie told WDHN that he is not mad, but he’s heartbroken over the fact that someone would deliberately try to destroy something the church has worked to provide for the community.

Recently, vandalizers threw rocks through the glass backboard of the basketball goals, as well as damaging in the church picnic area.

Cumbie asks if anyone has information on the incident to message him through the church’s Facebook page.
