Children flock to watch ‘Once on this Island Jr.’ performance

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It was showtime Thursday at the Cultural Arts Center for the SEACT company.

Several hundred kids came to watch the inaugural performance of ”Once on this Island Jr.”

The acting company has been working on perfecting the musical for several weeks.

The first few showings, which will be open to the public, will kick off this weekend.

“Just expect a show that will keep you on your feet,” cast member Marri Ellie Brewer said. “You never know what is going to happen next.”

If you can’t make it this weekend, there will also be two different showings next Thursday and Friday.
