ENTERPRISE, Ala. (WDHN) — Matt Larson, co-owner of Annie’s Cafe in Enterprise, has put together an event called Stronger Than the Storm which is to remember Hurricane Michael and help those who were affected.

“Just wanted to give them a really good day to enjoy themselves and just forget about all their problems and come together, and let people in other towns come help out and just see what they’re going through and how they can help them,” Larson said.

This year the event will be at Mexico Beach on October 10th with music from 10:00 A.M. to 8:30 at night.

There will be food and vendors.

“There’s no cover charge,” Larson said. “We’ll have free snacks and drinks down there for the people. We’ll have a couple different vendors down there, and we’ll have some food down there for sell real cheap just to raise money for local charities in that area.”

Larson said they are selling Stronger Than the Storm t-shirts to pay for the music and musicians and a variety of other things.

“The proceeds go to pay for the expenses of the event so we can keep the event free,” Larson said. “Any additional money that we raise we are using to give back to that community down there.”

Larson has also set up a fundraiser campaign under his name on Facebook, and there is a Stronger Than the Storm Facebook page that gives updates on the event, and information on how people can help out.
