Business booms for local political merchandise sellers

OZARK, Ala. (WDHN) — As the general election gets closer, business is booming for merchandise sellers.

Within the last few weeks, political sellers have reported an increase of purchased merchandise.

One business, Represent Freedom, has trailers set up across the southeast corner of the country, supplying all types of President Donald Trump merchandise, from flags to shirts to lawn signs.

“Oh yeah, there’s definitely a lot more new people stopping by,” employee Zachary Altman said. “We see a lot of new faces, but we also see a lot of repeat business. There’s a lot of people that stop here solely to buy gear for relatives, individuals at work, all sorts of different people they know so we actually get quite a few familiar faces every week.”

Trailers will be out until election day on Nov. 3.
