Buses experiencing problems with impatient drivers, Sewell says

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Houston County Schools Superintendent David Sewell is asking for Wiregrass drivers’ help.

According to Sewell, school bus drivers and riders have experienced inpatient drivers when on the roads — particularly in the afternoon.

Sewell said many times, school bus drivers are helping younger riders get on and off the bus.

“With the four-year-olds and some of the five-year-olds that are on our buses, they are buckled in, and the bus drivers have to get up and leave their seats and help them get unbuckled and help them get out of the bus,” said David Sewell, Houston County Schools superintendent.

Sewell also reminded parents it is illegal to run a stop sign on a bus.
