DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A small plane has made it safely to the ground after experiencing issues with landing gear at the Dothan Airport.
The plane reportedly had around three hours left of fuel when it reported the problems and burned more than an hour’s worth before making a landing attempt.
It was reported that two people were on board when the issues occurred.
“I’ve been at this job for 33 years, and I’ll you in all that time that 95 percent of the time when you get an indication like this the aircraft lands,” said Art Morris, director of the Dothan Regional Airport. “It’s very uneventful. No one’s ever been hurt in this type of accident. However, we never take anything for granted, and we always respond with an abundance of caution.”
