On February 18th, 2020 at 8:30am the Marianna Police Department was notified that a subject wearing an orange jumpsuit with and shackles was observed walking away from the courthouse. Officers canvassed the area but was unable to locate any individual matching the description. It was at that time, the Marianna Police Department was notified that an inmate had escaped while being transferred within the courthouse where the inmate was appearing for court.
The escaped inmate was identified as Travis Dickson Wilson. At that time, a search for Wilson began which included multiple agencies. Canine teams from JCI and ACI were contacted and responded to the scene.
During the search, the Marianna Police Department made contact with an individual who was the last one that observed Wilson fleeing. The individual showed officers the last place Wilson was seen. Canine tracking teams from JCI started a track near that area which led to a residence on St. Andrews Street. Officers and tracking teams entered the residence and located Wilson hiding in the attic of the residence. Wilson was taken into custody without incident at approximately 10:30 am. Wilson was still restrained in leg and hand restraints, but had removed the orange jumpsuit.
Wilson was arrested and charged with escape. Further charges are forthcoming against Wilson. Wilson was transported to the Jackson County Correctional Facility where he will await his first appearance.

CHIPLEY, Fla. (WDHN) — Authorities are searching for the man charged with multiple sexual assault charges, some of which originated in Dothan.
According to Chipley police, Travis Dickson Wilson, 36, was being taken to court for a hearing when he walked away and headed west on Jackson Street, as seen on a surveillance camera.
Wilson was previously charged with sexually assaulting an Andrews Bridal employee in Dothan while he tried to rob the location on Montgomery Highway.
He was later arrested in connection to a sexual assault and kidnapping in Chipley and faces charges there for felony battery and sexual battery with a deadly weapon.
The suspect is described as standing five feet seven inches and weighing 160 pounds.
If you see him, do not approach. The suspect is considered dangerous so call 911 or local law enforcement if you know where he is.
