DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A Dothan man previously charged with attempted murder for a shooting on the intersection of Lena Street and Crawford Street now faces a separate murder charge.

Phillip Barkley Jr. now faces a capital murder charge for the death of Christina Moore on South Lena Street, which happened on Sept. 6, the same day as the other shooting where police say Barkley and others tried to kill someone else after getting out of a vehicle.

Barkley is one of multiple suspects believed to be involved with Moore’s death. Police expect more arrests in the future.

In addition to capital murder, Barkley faces charges for shooting into an occupied dwelling, and attempted murder. As before, he is being held without bond.
