ASHFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — If you’re not careful, you may fall victim to a phone scam.
According to the Ashford Police Department, residents are experiencing an increase in phone scams.
Scammers are asking for account numbers and are giving instructions on how to send money.
They say they are with Publisher’s Clearing House and other businesses.
Police warn you to not release any information like your name, birthday, or social security number.
