Enterprise, Ala. (WDHN)—The baby’s great, grand-father who did not wish to appear on camera says he and his wife have “parental custody”. A few hours later, police spotted the suspect’s vehicle
Highway 167 heading toward Troy. The baby was “not” injured. They took into custody the child’s mother, 26-year-old Dayse Pritchard who is charged with interference with child custody. An occupant in the car, 60-year-old Antonio Stanfield, is now facing a hot of drug charges.
“Absolutely all of our officers were working. This was an unfortunate incident but in the end, everything came out okay, and the child was safe,” according to Enterprise Police Lt. Billy Haglund.
“It’s not that bad of a neighborhood, but I would say it is people who do drugs in this neighborhood. I didn’t hear anything about the abduction but I’m
Sure it had something to do with the family members.”
The suspect’s grandfather says it’s “tragic” Dayse Pritchard would take her child knowing that she has a drug addiction, but at least nobody was
injured or worse.
