Absentee voting begins in Houston County

Local News

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — As the election nears, many are casting their absentee ballots.

The Leagues of Woman Voters will begin in-person absentee voting on Sept. 10.

It will last through Oct. 29.

Voters must have a government-issued ID and complete an application.

You can go online at alabamavotes.gov to get an application, or you can visit the Houston County Courthouse.

“It’s also important that before you begin that you verify that you are a registered voter in Houston County a lot of times people move and don’t update their address,” Circuit Clerk Carla Woodall said.

Woodall said voters also can’t submit, complete, or get a ballot for other voters.
