59th annual Covington County Fair is benefitting from no National Peanut Festival this year

Andalusia, Ala. (WDHN)—This week, the 59th annual Covington County Fair has seen a large number of customers coming from Dothan and Northwest, Florida.

After the National Peanut Festival was canceled due, to the pandemic, Covington County officials say it looks like folks are heading to Andalusia to enjoy the midway.

But due to social distancing, there’s no animal exhibits and few live performances.

Gates open six Friday night and will open three o’clock Saturday afternoon and one Sunday afternoon.

This year’s fair wraps-up six o’clock Sunday evening.
