DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Entertainment events in town have taken a hit due to the coronavirus crisis. However, Premier Entertainment Group wants to ensure you can still rock on by holding a virtual concert.
The group has partnered with Wiregrass 211 for ‘Live From Downtown’ to help raise money for the efforts they put into the community.
“First time we partnered with Foster Fest it gives everybody something to do since the festival is canceled. So, we decided to continue it on and this time we’re partnering with Wiregrass 211 to support their mission and charity here in town,” Owner Dave Guiler said.
Premier Entertainment Group is used to assisting with live events all throughout the United States, but now they are bringing in bands from all over the south to cure your concert fever.
According to Guler, the virtual concert is a great way to enjoy yourself while being safe and it can be relieving.
“It’s good that we can do things like this to ease the mind during a difficult time because you know people suffer from depression. We just want to bring the family together for a night to let loose, turn the music up, and have a good time dancing a little bit. So, just trying to bring better moods and good vibes to Dothan.
Since the event has been online, numbers have been through the roof and even receiving attention from all over as far as Puerto Rico.
“We’ve actually seen actually 13,000 viewers on these things. We’re just trying to get out there not just in Dothan but all across the United States. It’s just been a great thing.
