DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — The Harbor Church in downtown Dothan is in need of more partnerships.
With nearly 675 homeless people in the area, all organizations are working together to make sure that their needs are met. The harbor has a specific need for more church partnerships to help out.
3,000 meals are served monthly with some of those being on-site and some are taken to homeless communities. Plus, they do about 3,000 food bags monthly as well.
“We are thankful that we have partner churches, you know 25 to 30 partner churches but we are looking for more. There are so many churches in the area, great churches that we need partner churches that can help us provide those meals and provide that food as well,” Executive Director Kody Kirchoff said.
The Harbor is also in need of food, hygiene, and clothing items. Donations can be dropped off at 320 North Foster Street in Dothan.
